Hi all, I'm slating a small timber frame arbor I built or my wife (we got married in it five years ago and now that we have our own place I'm putting a roof on it and giving it its "forever home."). Anyway I've got reclaimed Vermont slate from the Putney region of Vermont - not sure if it's hard or soft, but I've got all different colors, and I'm gonna do a cottage style roof, which I'd like to slate a few hearts in, in a contrasting color. Anyone done hearts before? I want to do solid hearts actually cut to points, not a pixelated looking outline. Drawings, plans, tips, etc would be greatly appreciated. I've used this slate with other cottage style roofs to great, durable, result already so I'm only looking for feedback on the heart part. Thanks!!! |
