The main thing to avoid is a situation where your heated living area causes condensation on the underside of your roofing. |

Your slate roof is not of concern provided that it is properly installed. In all reality what is needed is a proper build out of the attic to allow for ventilation and prevent condensation. This would be the case regardless of what roofing material was used. |

currently have old slate roof in need of repair. I know I will want to be able to use attic as living space. how does this work with slate? should I just look at replacing with standard roofing instead?? |
