Can anybody recommend a slate which is suitable to use for installation on a 22.5 degree roof pitch in the UK, Wales. The area is directly on the coastline, therefore severe exposure rating. I am curently looking into a spanish CUPA, quarry 12 - does anybody have any comments e.g. too brittle etc. maybe a chinese slate or any other alternative would be welcomed. Maybe you could also help me with a number of major suppliers, other than Harris or Cembrit-Blunn. In any case the slate needs to have the relevant european tests and comply with the British Standards. Much appreciated. Regards Thomas |
