I think Liam is correct. It looks like Vermont Black from Newmont. Newmont hammer drills their slate so that there is a counter sink. The holes look drilled not punched, and there's a counter sink. |

From what I see here Vermont Strata Gray or Mottled Gray/ Black Roof Slates. Drills are commenly use all over in the Slate Valley. Newmont slate maybe! |

It looks like it was drilled instead of punched. Is it exactly inch sizes or is it metric? that would narrow it down a bit. The holes are awfully close to the sides too. Maybe Brazilian? |
