Every plastic fake slate roof I've seen looks terrible or is so badly curled and cracked after 8 years that it needs replaced. They will tell you that they will give you a guarantee on it, but when push comes to shove, they will void the guarantee or go out of business. That has happened many times in the past. Cellulose fibres will absorb water! Water will expand! Expansion creates room between the fibres. "Room" allows for more water, which leads to more expansion. You get the picture. How long does this all take? Now that is the question. I don't know the answer, but then again, neither do they. Do you trust them enough to install it on your roof? It will definitely work; How long is the question.
