Finishing a slate ridge cap

Author Message   Anonymous Posted on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 - 11:32 pm:        i'm installing a slate ridge on a roof using 12" X 24" slates on edge with copper step flashing beneath. how does one finish this cap without having exposed nails on the last pair of cap slates? do i need to fabricate a bib?   Barry Smith Posted on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 - 10:34 am:        You will have exposed nails on the last piece. There's just no avoiding it.
