Slate can be installed on a concrete deck with nails. Hot-dipped galvanized or stainless steel roofing nails won't bend as easy as copper nails. |

Can slate be installed over a lightweight concrete deck? If so, with what? |

I wonder about replacing the slate roof for asphalt shingles. A slate roofer checking over your roof might be able to save you a great deal of money. FYI, if you really want to remove and resell your slates there will be less breakage if you stack them on edge. Wish I still made it up to Worcester. |

Hi I live in Worcester MA. I am having my slate roof replaced with asphalt shingles. The roofer is trying to charge me to get rid of the slate, but I know he is giong to sell it out the back. My house is about 50 x 120. Any one interested if I stack it up and someone comes and gets it? How much is it worth? Jeff@ppx.com |
