If you are try to maximize your slate use the tile cutter or a grinder to cut the pcs, but then use the slater stake to trim the cut edge to the correct profile. | ||

When installing a slate roof, can I cut the 1/2 slates using a tile cutter so as to allow cutting two slates from one? I know the slates will look better after cutting on a slaters stake but don't want to waste so many slates. |
