Well here’s what I ended up doing for the flashing. I’m not sure if it’s right or if it will work but it’s supposed to rain tomorrow so... I’m still curious about the correct way to do this, especially if it leaks.    |

Jeff, You need to make a soldered pan that comprises both roof pitches. I don't have any pictures of ones I've done since you don't encounter them frequently . |

I need advice on flashing the back of my chimney which is near the roof ridge. At the chimney corners I don’t know where to place the flashing bends where the roof ridge is a couple inches higher than the intersection of the chimney and roof. Do I need to solder a gusset into the corners? Or use a more malleable flashing material than copper? Or modify the slates on the roof opposite the chimney? Jeff Eiber
