The signature box apparently doesn't accept html code. I can't find any way to enable html in the signature box. May be a limitation of the "skin" type being used. |

Glad you still love me OS! Several of mine are straight. Just happened to pick my worst. Many folks never heard of a channeled valley. I learned from a fellow that was doing in in the 30's and 40's. Sure beats a W. Here's an oldie, but goodie. It's about 3" wide in the channel. That galvie is right old. New galvie seem to only last a year or two. PS, on occassion, I do use a real wide one and leave about 6" open. <A HREF="http://www.albertsroofing.com" TARGET="_blank">http://www.albertsroofing.com</A> <A HREF="http://www.albertsroofing.com" TARGET="_blank">Albert's Roofing</A>

Tinner, it looks crooked because it is. We use the channel valleys. You just have to leave them open enough. The water can't "jump" out of the channel and it will clean itself. We still love ya! |

I don't like channel valleys. They tend to trap debris and divert water behind the slates. Wide open valleys. If a steep pitch is draining into a shallow one, I'll run more copper on the shallow side and maybe put a hem on the edge as a water-stop. |

I'm starting to think that code is disabled in MY sig box. I'll try an upload. Anybody else use a channeled valley when working with different pitches? This is a leaded copper one I did a few years ago.
Darn that looks crooked in a close-up! <A HREF="http://www.albertsroofing.com"TARGET="_blank">http://www.albertsroofing.com</A> <A HREF="http://www.albertsroofing.com"TARGET="_blank">Albert's Roofing</A>

Here's a useful code [IMPORTANT: frame in <> or it WILL NOT WORK. I had to take them off so you could see the code]: a href="PUT YOUR LINK HERE" target="_blank">PUT YOUR TEXT HERE</a This is what you get when you put Albert's Roofing where the text should be and http://www.albertsroofing.com where the link should be: Albert's Roofing |

I'm obviously missing a piece of code. < { [ " = ] or something is in the wrong place. Any idea which it is? Each board has it's own quirks. BTW. Thanks for letting me into this place. I'm probably not worthy of it. "http://www.albertsroofing.com]Slate Repairs, Richmond, Va."

Just thought I'd join the Board. Been doing this stuff since the 60's, but too lazy to join in here. Hope to learn a lot. |
