I would like to help organize some working vacations for the slaters of the world. I'm working with some sales wizzards who might be able to line up projects that would require one to eight weeks of participation by the finest slaters in the land. |

Line up a job at a nudist colony for film actresses in Tahiti in January and give me a call. |

What's up with this, Joe? Sounds like you're getting tired of NW Pennsylvania winters. Why? Just because it starts snowing in September and is bitterly cold and windy... and everything is a block of ice... which promptly turns to mud and slush when spring comes in June... and your fingers are frostbit... and... can I come with you?!? |

OK Susan, you're on board. We'll have to change the destination to a nudist colony for actors and actresses, though. Before this is all over, we'll have the largest group of slaters and assistants ever to go to Tahiti. Yes, we do have only two seasons here in western PA: Rain and Snow. About six months of each. |

So Godsil where abouts do you plan on taking this slate venture to? Winter is for the Eskimos! This one was long and cold. Dave www.slateandcopper.com |

You guys can come and do my roof if you like. House built in 1600 and something with a slate roof 'replaced' about 8 years ago. The roofer was in no way related to the original builder either by family or ability. Ive got 1 metre thick interior stone walls that were pointed by a local 'craftman'. I wanted to keep the stone visible. What I now have is four different shades of grey concrete between the stones and it looks ....... I wanna cry!!!!! I feel like a vandal of history. French Alps and on the Swiss border with Geneva. Sorry for that. Just needed a shoulder to cry on. |
