My family is looking at a home built in 1943. It has a slate roof. The owner told me that it also has an asbestos roof. My question is whether just living in the house would pose any sort of health risk. We won't be doing anything to disturb the roof but since we have small children, we want to make sure it is safe before we make any sort of committment.
