Normally they will install a metal flashing beneath them so the water can't get in. This can be individual pieces beneath each slate or a long piece that caps the top. On the other hand, they would just install some plastic cement between them. You could do that too. |

The peak of my roof is finished with rectangular tiles lapped on each side of the ridge. This leaves a gap at the peak for water to enter. I'm not sure how this has not leaked for 50 years, but now it does. How can I repair this? Thanks |
