Have 2 or 3 more professional contractors come out and give their assesment. That would be my advice. Most roofing contractors offer free estimations, so it want cost you anything to get another opinion. http://www.whitcoroofing.com/asbestos-roof-removal.html |

Leslie: We commonly repair asbestos roofs like this. It is not at the end of its life, but may have decades remaining. Can we get a closer look at the asbestos tiles? There is some info on our web site at http://www.slateroofcentral.com/asbestos_repair.html. |

HI. Hard to tell from the pic but roof does not look to bad and with repair may last a lot longer than 1 or 2 yrs..you can find replacement tiles from companies on this site ect. ..try looking in the basement/garage/under porches/attic ect. there may be some tiles left over from when the roof was installed? would get a couple more opinions, |

We are trying to purchase a home which has a abestoes roof, with missing tiles. We had one co come out an say we needed a whole new roof. "Current roof will last 1-2 years" How do we know if this is accurate and that they are not trying to get us to purchase something not needed
