My house was built in the late 40s and I've got an asbestos roof with the regular flat tiles. All tiles seem to be in good shape, but I've got some visible light at the ridge where the boards meet. I only see this near the gables. Before we purchased the house the previous owner had a general construction guy glue some flashin over the ridge. That blew off in the wind. It doesn't really leak much, but should be repaired. I was thinking about glueing regular asphalt ridge shingles over the ridge. Would this work? I saw someone else looking for ridge tiles and they seem very hard to find. Thanks. |
