I can get all of these hammer and will be avaible on my website-store soon. They come dirrect from Germany, which add alot of shipping. I don't have any of those newer Freund, I have a older one from 98 that has three holes to add a nial puller. I feel that this hammer is ligther then the-Freund- Stortz- Phila pattern. |

Liam, In the next few days I'll dig out and photograph some different examples of makers, patterns and quarries that stamped their own name on hammers. i just sent Joe an e mail asking for a little more civility on the message board. |

Walter all you can give me would be great. Would love to share it with ever one else, but that will be up to you. Posting it would make for a better archive see I haven't found all that much from the web yet. |

Liam, I have several favorites I use daily, A super Pexto with perfect weight, a really nice Belden,an S and H Red Devil. There are a lot of other makers too and several quarries brand their own too from the Pexto castings. I've got to go to easter dinner now, but I'll take some other pictures at a later date and send them directly to you. Doesn't seem my postings are well received from some here. Best regards, Walter |

Very nice Walter, what hammer do you use and see the most. Is there any other names on them, you know of any other names of companies that make hammers. How did you come across so many? |

Liam, Here are some of mine like your head style. Auld and Conger of Cleaveland is one maker - many are unmarked. Another I know has Bangor Slate on it fron Penn.

Liam, The handle detail is unusual -- but many makers stamp their own name onto hammers. It could also be the owners initials. I've got quite a few of the same head pattern, but not the handle detailing. |

Liam, Looks like the pattern used by several makers from the Penn. slate belt. They are nowhere near as nice or functional as your Pexto. |
