We have over 18 years experience installing/repairing slate roofs in the Baltimore/Washington Metro area.

We specialize in slate roofing! We are not a shingle company who does slate on the side.

We use hooks where ever possible. We do not believe in nailing and bibbing!

The best slate roofers I have met are The Fick Brothers Roofing Company in Baltimore. They have been in business since 1920.

Their phone number is 410-889-5586. Ask for Jeffrey Fick. Their operation is the most professional I have ever seen. I make the drive (4 hours) quite often to go learn from them.

I am a steep slope residential roofer in Southern Virginia. We handle most of the "insane jobs" that no one else wants.

Thanks to the Slate Roof Bible and Jeffrey Fick's love of the trade, generous heart and willingness to teach, we have recently begun to accept slate roofing repairs. We have been very happy with the results and are excited about developing this area of our business.

Joe,
I live in Baltimore and I welcome any requests for smaller, slate repair/maintenance jobs. I have been design/building homes in this area for about 10 years. Roughly half of those homes involved salvaged slate work performed by myself and some great assistants. I am now working for a national contractor and consequently, large slate jobs are not feasible due to time constraints.
