Really? Did something change recently? We've worked on slate roofs in New Orleans that have been covered by: Chubb, Farmers, Travelers, Liberty Mutual, Catholic Mutual, Church Mutual and State Farm.

Here in New Orleans there is only one insurance company that will insure a slate roof and they are three times as much as everyone else. It's tragic because now people are removing them.

Is it like this elsewhere in the US? I'm wondering what others' experiences are with insurance.
