but the left side of the roof can be a different distance from right side from eaves to ridge and so can the middle so there will be variations in course lines all the way up roof until we get it perfectly aligned with the ridge so for talking sake to work in courses perfectly each out side edge is measured plus the middle and the courses with stagger slightly until we have each section perfect on a square

we calculate how many courses we also grade the slates into thick medium and light slate and do one third thick at bottom on third medium pile in middle and lights on top third

think its just way camera is we calculate our gauges for full side before we start to lay
