We are looking at a house in another state that needs lots of work.It has a slate roof in need of some repair,doesnt seem to leak,so we will be looking for a repair person in Orange county,Indiana.On all of the ridge lines,there are some sort of upright rectangular looking objects._||_||_||_||_||_(sort of)What are these for?Are they just decorative or do they serve a purpose?Thanks in advance!!JoAnn

Those are decorative. The Cincinnati office of Durable Slate works there (800)666-7445.
