Have you looked into "gutter brush"? This is for standard external gutters. Otherwise, here is a photo from a job I looked at in NYC. I think they fabricated the screening themselves using brass screen and copper edging:

Do you guys know of anything that I can use for a gutter guard. I don't mind cleaning out my gutters, but I am putting a gabled roof on a flat roof addition from the early 1900s so that it matches the rest of the house. When I do this, it will be difficult to access one of the gutters. I was wondering if there was a way to keep leaves out of this particular gutter. Any ideas? My gutters are custom made copper box.
