Orion will do a powerpoint for the 2012 Slate Roofing Contractors Association conference, then all will walk down to the eyebrow dormer site, which is 5 minutes away.

Looks great well done. Is there another one for the conference or a power point?

Well done Orion. I love the slate on that one. I knew they would look good after seeing them on the ground last month.

This is an eyebrow dormer designed by Orion Jenkins of Joseph Jenkins, Inc. (http://www.slateexperts.com), built in 2012 on his own house. He used Vermont heavy black slates (1/2 inch to 3/4 inch) or they may be called strata gray or just gray-black slate. They're nailed to one inch rough sawn hemlock with 2.5 inch smooth-shank stainless steel roofing nails. The roof decking over the eyebrow is 1/2 inch rough sawn hemlock laid horizontally and screwed to the rafters, then another layer of 1/2 inch run vertically. The deck is covered with 30 pound felt.

Orion Jenkins is shown in the photos except one in which Chris Paulin is also shown (Paulin Slate and Copper).
