I'm about to embark on re-roofing a 1880's townhouse in Baltimore MD. My roofer has proposed 22 oz copper for the valleys linings and copings. Is this a good choice and will it severely stain the white stone facade? Any advice would be appreciated. |

The copper should not stain it at all. It would be a good choice. If you want to see 120 year old copper on a roof, click here: http://www.jenkinsslate.com/SRB2-sample-turrets.html Joe Jenkins |

Yes copper will stain the stone under / below the copings, I don't know if you can get lead but that is ok for parapet cappings / coping stones. |
