I'm looking for small quantities of slate to paint on. Does anyone have any idea where I can find some? I'm willing to travel to pick up (ok, well not to the west coast!) Looking for maybe 100 - 200 pieces.

I'm re-roofing a house near Cleveland, Ohio that has a slate roof. The house was built in 1883. Is there any value to the tiles? Should I spend the time to try to save them or just pitch them in the dumpster? What would the approximate value be for around 8 squares? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I am taking down my home built in 1949. I have removed many of the slates and many are still up and in good condition. The color is greenish grey, I can forward a picture if you are interested. Best offer come and take it.
