The new slates show brown spots, maybe caused by grains of ironsulphides.
Can there be a connection with the corrosion of an, also new, zinc gutter? The surface of the gutter shows a massive amount of (white)corrosionproducts and a few holes are visible.
Are the brown spots on the slate the only remains of the deterioration of the ironsulphides or is there an watersoluble compound transported by rainwater into the gutter(and maybe causing the corrosion of the zinc)
Any ideas on this?
Thanks
hans
