Hey John, This is Chinese slate. I'm pretty sure I know where it came from. I wouldn't recommend using it in Michigan. Actually, if it's what I think it is, I wouldn't recommend using it period. John |

Phil, it would be helpful to know what type of slate it is and what color. Is it Chinese or Brazilian or domestic? What thickness? At 50 squares to a truck, it sounds like 1/4 " but it would still be good to know. Let us know. |

I wasn't able to upload the pics because the files are too large. Please contact me at psmith@smithcos.com if you would like for me to send you pics. Thanks, Phil |

Hello All of you in the slate roof world: Back in 2010 my wife and I decided to build our dream home, which would require 150 square of slate roofing. I found a great buy on the material from a distributor that was going out of business in Baltimore. I had it all shipped down to my business in Birmingham, Alabama where is sits still in the crates and inside (3) box trailers on one of my truck lots. I need to sell them quickly and can haul them wherever they need to ship in North America. I've attached some pics and can send more and send you more info. Please help me find a buyer if you know of someone interested in the much volume and wants to make a great purchase. Thanks very much, Phil |
