Hello.
I am trying to figure out when it is appropriate to use soft copper versus semi hard copper.

I have to replace the copper around the chimneys and front dormers and was thinking soft copper was the appropriate choice. Also, does soft copper come in 16 ounce for this endeavor?
Good day

Most 16 ounce copper that is commercially available is soft copper (or cold rolled, 1/8 hard). It would be fine for your purposes.
